The tree in the logo was inspired by other areas of town — such as Garden Oaks — the owners considered before landing on the final location. They picked the North Shepherd spot because it's a well-known area of the Heights that's easy to get to, it's near other breweries — such as Eureka Heights Brewing Co. As of now, the owners, composed of five families and nine individuals, are the only employees. Frye said there are plans to hire two servers and eventually an assistant brewer and seller, though none have been hired yet.
Originally, Frye had planned to open in June But with shortages and backlogs caused by the pandemic — in addition to general bumps in the road when opening a business — the opening date was pushed back to the fall. Frye said it was likely for the best because the public may not have been as comfortable going out to restaurants and bars over the summer as they are now.
Each taproom will offer its own styles of beer, so customers may want to try all locations for different flavors.
