The food is consistently excellent and the service is always great. We had apricot naan this meal which was amazing - we've never seen it on a menu before and loved it! The rack of lamb tandoori was also a treat. Thank you for another wonderful meal :. Not authentic enough.. Decent food, but horrible service. Made a reservation for and was rushed through my meal by the waiter.
Food was okay, but difficult to enjoy with an anxious waiter hovering. My boyfriend and I were asked to pay the check and leave so they could close 30 minutes before closing. I love coming here for lunch and get the special. I'm a big fan of korma so, that's what I typically order. Delightful meal, good portions and very fresh food.
By far my favorite lunch place in Back Bay! Best Indian food in Boston. The vegetable samosas are the best I've ever had. The naan was especially nice.
Our entrees were also good. We came for lunch and were the first guest on a Sunday morning, we had asked for a extra spicy lamb tikimasala which had not once hint of spicy , which was upsetting but the worst part was the lamb tasted old as in cooked the night before and warmed up. I ended up with a terrible upset stomach.
Been going here for over 20 years. Always enjoyable. Sent food back it was not great. While the veg appetizers came out before the food the non veg appetizers came with the food. Overall the food was cold. Tandoori platter was tasteless and overdone. Will not go back. Best Indian food I ever had! Great service and ambiance. Average food The restaurant seemed a bit dirty Location is great! Server was fine , but seemed exhausted. The food was outstanding - the chicken korma was the best I've had for a while.
The poori bread was excellent too. The best naan in town. Excellent korma dishes. Will come back again. I used to love this placec, but was surprised how the quality of food and service have dropped significantly.
The server missed up our order multiple times, the same dishes I used to love they don't taste the same anymore. I don't think I will be going there anymore.
Food was good, not great. We asked for medium spice but it came as very light in spice. This is a trendy restaurant in a trendy area where food quality was not the priority. But still overall enjoyable. Best naan bread in Boston. Do recommend. Nice dinner, good prices, good food. Ambiance was nice but. I thing special. Great place to take the family for dinner or a date night. Took too long for the server to take our order. Food was not delicious. I used to go to Kashmir frequently when I lived in Boston.
The food was mediocre, the menus were dirty and tattered, and the bathrooms were gross. We only stayed to eat because it was late and we were too tired and hungry to find another option.
Went with a group of friends. One had somehow never eaten Indian food before. He's now a convert. Nice relaxed place. Friendly service. Food was good. Not epic as in I wouldn't travel a long way to get there. But it was everything you'll want in a Boston neighborhood restaurant. Their lunch special is a very good deal.
Overall it was a great experience. I would love to try it again. First time I tried their lunch special on Friday afternoon Dash I ordered vegetable take a masala. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to go for dinner again the same day. And dinner, however, when I ordered my coffee — I think it was the same gravy and same taste that I tried in lunch. And dinner, however, when I ordered malai kofta— I think it was the same gravy and same taste that I tried in lunch.
Meaning gravy of malai-kofta tasted similar to vegetable tika masala. Delay in taking our order , restaurant appeared short staffed , appetisers were good. Entrees especially meat was sub standard. Meat was tough and rubbery. The food was so so. The restrooms were disgusting! Smelled awful!!!!!! Consistently delicious food and good service. Always a good choice for Ondian food. But I do expect the food to be generally good, regardless. The Lamb Kebab was so dry and over cooked, it was hard to cut or chew.
I barely finished one piece. More over, I asked for the food to be spicy and instead, what I got was mouth burning, tasteless, doused in God knows what spicy seasoning chunks of over cooked meat. Similarly, the Daal was so hot that it was hard to eat. Correctly prepared 'Spicy' Indian food is hot but not unbearable, and it is still full of flavor. I don't understand how this place is still in business. Despite that I gave the cashier my credit card to pay for the entire table, and that my reservation is under my name, the server and the cashier took my friends credit card and basically double charged us, my credit card and his credit card.
It took us unnecessary 10 minutes direct if I the double charge. I am upset in the first place that I insisted and explicitly asked them to use my credit card for the entire table, but they went behind my back.
You can actually hear your dinner companions speaking at normal volume. Oh — and the food is delicious. That combination is hard to find in Boston, even on a Monday night. I think it's impossible on weekends. Excellent as always. Not very authentic; flavorless. The restaurant will open at 3pm for happy hour and dinner service starting at 5pm. Say About Us. Fresh, excellent, and luxurious for the palate! Tastes like how I remembered it 6 years ago. Very nice customer service, friendly, and clean place.
Decent price too. It's worth trying it out. Great tikka masala and naan bread.
